"It was a lovely morning in Bonfire. A young female wolf named Tiri stretched her wings and decided it was time to find a mate and start a pack. She padded over to the mating grounds, where tons of wolves were. A male caught her eye "Hello." she said. The male just stared back at her "Hi..." he said. Tiri twitched her ear "Are you looking for a mate?" she asked. The male shrugged "Not directly." he turned away. Tiri watched him leave. She went over to the mating circle and lay down. Most of the males were taken and just leaving, only females remained after that. A black wolf with light-brown underfur entered the area and sat far from Tiri. He had wings just like her too. She watched him but didn't want to get in his way, she sat and stared away from him. If a female got him good, if he didn't get by one, Tiri would ask him. Later no one seemed to get interest in him. She finally stared at him, he didn't notice until one second later he found himself staring back at her! He stared very occasionally at her. She thumped her tail against the ground and twitched her ear. The male was laying very still. Tiri finally said something. "Hello." she said. She male didn't respond for a minute but he got the nerve to talk to her "Hello..." he said silently. One minute they were staring at each other, than the next minute they were staring into each others eyes. The male was about to say something but he stopped. *Flirting with her might but her in danger!* he thought. He walked off, Tiri didn't know something. He had a spirit with him! Her name was Madin. "Link!" she growled. "What were you thinking?" Link, the male wolf kept walking. "Nothing..." he shrugged. "You were trying for her! Thats what you were thinking!" she snapped. "No more mates! Remember what happened last time you got a mate?" asked Madin. Link closed his eyes tight trying to forget "She casted that spell on you!" she growled. "So no more!" Link growled at her "So what? I can get a mate if I want!" This apparently made Madin mad. She snapped at him and chased him around bonfire. All the all animals watched. Tiri laughed a little but she began to feel a bit weird. She padded pond and later returned with a fish in her jaws. Madin stopped snapping at him "Get some rest." she growled. Link lay down near a tree. Tiri was padding over to him and stopped at his paws. She dropped the fish "Here. Eat this." she said cheerfully. Link got up and ate the fish "I'm sorry." he said when he finished. "Theres a spirit that follows me around, she is a pain." Madin slapped Link but he ignored her. "Its okay." said Tiri. "I knew something was wrong." Link smiled at her but his smile faded. "Want to hunt?" he asked. "Sure!" said Tiri. They stalked over to a herd of horses. A mare was laying next to her filly. Link was about to attack her but a stallion caught his eye. He stalked to it and attacked it but the horse kicked him off. Tiri made a flying leap but the stallion dodged her and she went flying into the water. Link saw the whole thing. He growled at the horse "You hurt Tiri!" he snarled. The horse kicked him and Tiri flew into the air and landed on the horses back sinking her claws into his spine. And bit his neck. The horse kicked her off. Link sighed. "Lets stop, they are too hard to hunt." he sighed. The two wolves settled down under the tree. "Tiri.. I can't be with you. I can hurt you.." he sighed. Tiri stared at him "Why?" "Because I'm a dark wolf.." said Link. "I can hurt you." Tiri gasped and sat up "Oh no... your a monster..." she said backing up "Im sorry..." said Link. He got up about to leave but Tiri stopped him "No! I can change you into a normal wolf..." she said. "No, you can't! Im like this forever." Tiri rushed to him and hugged him. He hugged her back. She backed off. "Would... would you like to be my mate?" Link asked. Tiri gasped "Really?" she asked. Link nodded. "I thought you'd never ask!" she said. "I thought you'd never say yes!" Link laughed. The to stared at each other. "Lets go and live in ficho Tunnle. I hear its very nice there." "Sure!" said Tiri responding to Link. They walked side by side to the fiche tunnel. They walked in walked until the found a quite spot. They lay down and rested for the night. The next morning, Tiri woke to find Link sitting by the river. "What are you doing?" she asked. "Nothing..." Tiri noticed they were sitting under Tiri's birth spot. She looked up. "That place is special to me..." she said closing her eyes. "Why?" asked Link. "Because, I was born there" Tiri responded. She had her head tilted up there for a long time but then opened her eyes and put her head down. "Want to go to the temple of dreams?" asked Link. "Sure" Tiri said. They left Ficho tunnel and entered Flourite plains. As they flew Link told her something "There is a wolf... her name is the dark witch. I know she is coming for me..." he said. "Well... why does she want to get you?" Tiri asked. "Because... I left her to die. She was my mate... she had survived the task I put her through and knew she would do pay back to me." he shivered. Before they knew it they were at the temple of dreams. "To the top?" Link asked. There was a huge ring connected to other ring at the top. Sometimes it was reserved for winged wolves only. "Sure." said Tiri. They both flew up to the top ring and lay down to rest. Link sighed "Look.." he said. "We shouldn't be mates.." he said. "Why?" Tiri cried. " One, Madin doesn't want me too, two, I can kill you three, I'm a dark wolf, four, the dark witch will kill me anyway." he said. "No! Link! No!" Tiri cried. "Im sorry... goodbye!" he said. he flew away off of the top ring and landed in the water. Tiri watched and cried. She took deep breaths though and stopped crying. She put her head down and went to sleep. Link was just getting out of the water but then his name was called. "Link!" a firmilair voice called. Link was frightened. "I have come back." a black and blue wolf landed in front of him with her teeth bared. "The great dark witch!" Link gasped. "Its me!" the dark witch gave an evil smirk and laughed. Link jumped her but the witch zapped him and got him in her sharp claws and raking his body. She bit his neck and threw him in the river. She watched him drown with a smirk. But Link flew up again with his wings and grabbed the dark witch slamming her to the ground. She smirked at him. "I have a power just waiting to use on you!" she laughed. "Oh no... not the.. no!" it was to late. The land bellow the rings turned green and the witch flew up. "Ha!" she laughed. When the green smoke was gone, Link's body was the only thing left. "I did it! I killed him!" she said. She knocked his dead body in the river. "In your face!" she snarled. Tiri had just woke up. And called for Link. She went to the bottom and realized he was gone. "Link!" she howled. The dark witch laughed "Looking for Link? You must be is new mate!" she smirked. "Yes I am! Where is he?" Tiri snarled. Her hackles raised making her look bigger. "I killed him." The dark witches face turned into a grin. "I ted to be his mate... but then he left me for the dead!" she snarled. Tiri made a flying leap for the witch and she tackled her.. well she almost did... The witch dogged her and threw her to the ground. But Tiri flew up along with the witch. She landed o her shoulders but the witch blew her off and slammed her down. "Good luck getting over your anger!" she laughed evilly and flew off. Tiri shook herself and stared up at the witches dark figure then she stared at the sky. "Oh Link.." she cried. Her mate was dead... and she had noting else to help him now..."
